Charles Taylor is emeritus Professor of Philosophy from McGill University.  Winner of the Kyoto Prize, the Templeton Prize, the John W. Kluge Prize, the Berggruen Prize, and many other awards and honors, he is one of the world’s most influential and foremost thinkers on questions of religion, secularity, and the modern world.  Among his numerous books, he is the author of Sources of the Self: The Making of Modern Identity (Harvard UP, 1989) and A Secular Age (Harvard UP, 2007).
